Dario Giusto Calamera. (Smart Rescue Group).
Our project is based on the development of an application whose purpose is to facilitate prompt intervention in situations of natural disasters. Specifically, the software, appropriately pre-installed on the mobile phone, is able to detect the position of an individual via GPS and transmit it, at preset time intervals, to a server that stores and collects the history of the traces in a database (the positions are progressively eliminated in compliance with the law on the management of sensitive data).
In the event that you end up in a state of calamity, the application carries out an instant check on the health conditions of each individual traced. In practical terms, the Server sends an “alert” to each user and awaits confirmation of their health status. In the event of loss of the signal of some contacts or a lack of feedback of some of them, the system automatically goes into alarm and forwards the coordinates of the latter to the competent rescue agencies. To maximize the effectiveness of rescue operations, this phase involves the support of a drone with an autonomous flight capacity suitable for reaching the positions of those at risk in a timely manner and providing a live video in real time.
