Thinkmed is committed to improving the protection of personal data, which is used exclusively for the minimum necessary to manage the competition.

 

  Privacy Statement

The Club Rotary Of Enna – 94100 Enna (Italy) is the Nonprofit operator of ThinkMed’s Website. The Rotary Club of Enna is responsible of the collection, processing and use of personal data in accordance with data protection legislation, in particular the general data protection regulation pursuant to art. 13 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 and GDPR European regulation EE 2016/679.

The Data Controller is You (Participant, voter, Committee members ) and the Data Processor on your behalf is the Rotary Club of Enna (Competition Auctioneer).

With this statement you can find out which personal data are collected and saved on our website www.thinkmed.it. In addition, you will be informed about the use of your data and your rights to use your data.

    1. Data security

Our security measures are constantly adapted to the latest available technologies and we continuously perform security tests on our infrastructure.

The personal data collected is stored in a data center that complies with the CISPE Code of Conduct guidelines.  The Data Center is organized and administered in compliance with the legislation on CISPE Code of Conduct security measures and is equipped with appropriate logical and physical protection systems in order to prevent unauthorized access.  Access to data is limited to employees and suppliers selected by The Rotary Club of Enna, always in full compliance with the legislative requirements regarding data protection.

To avoid any type of accidental or deliberate tampering with the data and the partial or total destruction of the same, we perform a backup every 24 hours which is subsequently archived off-site in two different geographical areas.

Your data is protected by encryption based on the TLS (Transport Layer Security) security standard already widely used for online banking services. You acknowledge that the connection is protected in TLS mode, since in the URL displayed in the browser you will find an “s” after “http” (then https: // ..) or in the browser tab see the symbol of a closed padlock.

Your password is stored in a secure encrypted process and is absolutely confidential. If you forget your password we can only assist you in creating a new password, which you should preferably change.

The security of data transfer on the Internet is your responsibility as Data Controller.

 

    2. Collection and storage of personal data, nature and purpose of their use

 

    a) If you visit our website

When you visit our website www.thinkmed.it, your browser sends information, which does not reveal you identity, temporarily stored on a log file, collected automatically by the servers of our website.

Here is the list of information collected temporarily and automatically deleted:

IP address of the requesting computer;

date and time of access;

name and URL of the pages visited;

website from which the access comes (Referrer-URL);

browser in use and, if necessary, the computer’s operating system and the name of your Internet service provider.

The information collected and processed is essential for using our website, to ensure the security and stability of our system and for the technical administration of the network infrastructure. None of the data collected is used for the purpose of user analysis.

We use cookies, analysis and marketing tools for web traffic. More information on this topic in sections 3, 4 and 5.

   

    b) If you signup online

To enter the ThinkMed contest or vote on projects you must first register. When you register, you must enter: first name, last name, email address so that you can create an indispensable profile to log in.

Your data can be used:

to know the identity of the participant;

to verify the truthfulness of the information entered;

to contact you, if necessary.

 

    c) If you register at www.thinkmed.ityou will receive information on the competition

If you have registered with www.thinkmed.it we can use your e-mail address to send you information about the competition or other related initiatives. You can cancel the sending of information at any time by clicking on the deactivation link at the bottom of the email or by sending an email to info@thinkmed.it.

If you cancel your subscription to the information, we will keep your registered e-mail address only to make sure that you will no longer receive these emails, but you will continue to receive service communications.

 

    d) Developer, client, supplier, accountant and team

With our services you can enter third-party data, you can allow third parties access to your account, you can link your account with third parties and you can offer your applications to third parties or use third-party applications. Data privacy is fully respected even with regards to third-party data, which we can access through the use of our service. In some cases a specific contract may be required, contact us for any clarification.

Based on what is established in the Terms and Conditions, you have the right to share your access data with third parties, you are obliged to process your data with due care and you are responsible for the third-party data you enter in www.thinkmed.it.

The Rotary Club of Enna is not responsible for compliance with data protection and security standards outside the website www.thinkmed.it. In these cases the responsible is you or the third party to whom you have granted access to your data.

 

    3. Consent to Data Transfer

By registering at www.thinkmed.it, you consent to the processing of your data and you also consent to the sharing of your data with third parties to enable us to manage the competition.

Your data is not disclosed to third parties without your authorization, except if requested by legal authorities, the transmission of your personal data occurs only in cases where you have given your explicit consent.

The Rotary Club of Enna reserves the right to share data within the Club. The Rotary Club of Enna may also, from time to time, request to share data with selected companies, for example, to allow management of the platform www.thinkmed.it, in these cases data security is guaranteed at all times.

We only share your data with third parties who have a satisfactory level of data protection for us and for data protection laws, we do not share data with territories outside the EU/EEA.

he user has the right at any time to withdraw his/her consent to the processing and/or sharing of his/her data by contacting us to request the closure of his/her profile, which will be carried out as soon as possible (procedure better specified on Terms and conditions). At the end of the relationship with the Rotary Club of Enna, we keep only the minimum data necessary to satisfy all the legal requirements and only for the minimum period required.

For any communication on the processing of your personal data, you can write to the e-mail address info@thinkmed.it. If you are not satisfied, you have the right to file a complaint with the data protection authority. The Rotary Club of Enna will fully cooperate with any such investigation and will endeavor to satisfy all requests as completely as possible. The competent authority for each country can be found on the European Commission’s website.

 

    4. Cookies

Our website uses cookies, small files, which are automatically created by the browser when you visit a web page and which are stored on your device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.).

Cookies are intended to improve your browsing experience on our website, in fact we use session cookies which, if you have already created a profile, store on your device the settings or actions that have been performed and that you will not run again the next time you log in.

Cookies do not provide us with information on your identity and are temporary, so they will be automatically deleted from your browser once they expire.

We also use cookies to statistically track the use of our website and to optimize our offer for you (section 4), and to show you personalized information (section 5).

You can configure your browser so that no cookies are saved on your computer or in such a way that a warning is always displayed before a new cookie is created, but remember that the complete deactivation of cookies results in a reduction in the functionality of our website.

   

    5. Web analysis

For the purposes of web analysis we use different services, create anonymous user profiles and use cookies (section 4).

      Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. Information on the use of our website (including your IP address) collected through a cookie, is transferred to a Google server in the United States and is stored on that site . IP addresses are made anonymous, so they cannot be assigned (IP masking). The information is used to analyze the use of our website, create internal reports on the website’s activities and provide additional information related to the use of our website and the Internet.

The data contained in the transmitted files (file of identification document, file containing project data) for participation in the competition, will not in any way be combined with other data collected through Google.

We also use Google Optimize, a web analysis service from Google Inc, which is integrated into Google Analytics. Google Optimize allows us to run tests with multiple variants of the same web page. This way we can find out which version of our website is preferred by users.

Google will transfer information to third parties only if required by law or if third parties are processing data on their behalf.

It is possible to prevent the collection of data, carried out through cookies, as well as the processing of Google data by downloading and installing an additional browser component. As an alternative to the browser add-on, especially for browsers on mobile devices, you can prevent the collection of Google Analytics data.  An opt-out cookie will be inserted that prevents future data collection when you visit this website. The opt-out cookie is valid only on this browser and on our website and will be stored on your device. If you delete the cookie in the browser, you will need to re-enter the opt-out cookie.

 

    6. Facebook Monitoring

We do not share any data entered during the use of our service with Facebook.

We do not use social plugins of Facebook or other social networks.

    7. Information, Correction, Blocking, Cancellation

You are the Data Controller and you are responsible for the content you post. As a contest participant you can review and edit the data stored in your profile at any time. You have the right to be informed about the personal data we store, you have the right to rectify, update, block or delete them.

We will be able to remove the content you published  if you request it, but we retain the right our right not to remove the content we are obliged to maintain to meet the legal requirements.

    8. Changes to the current data privacy statement

This data privacy statement is currently in force and was last updated in March 2019.

The Rotary Club of Enna may change at any time, when it’s deemed necessary, following updates to the website www.thinkmed.it to modify the legal or regulatory requirements, this data privacy statement.
